Session Two: Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ - crucified, died and risen from
the dead - is the revelation of the Heart of God.
He now calls you to follow Him.
Below you you find all the resources you should need for Session Two of the Confirmation programme. Parents, please begin by reading the 'Parent's Guide', and then helping your child to download the 'Session Material' and the 'Confirmand Worksheet'. It would be helpful if you were able to do this on two different devices. The material is in the form of a Powerpoint or Keynote Presentation. In response to feedback I have embedded the videos into the presentations, therefore they are much larger files, which may take a few minutes to download. PLEASE NOTE: THE FIRST PAGE OF THE PRESENTATION SAYS 'SESSION ONE' - THIS IS AN ERROR ON MY PART. Once you go into the following slides, you will see it is the material for this session.
The Confirmand worksheet is now in the form of a Word Document.
As before this should be downloaded and saved as '[Confirmand's Name] Session Two Confirmation Worksheet'.
Suggested minimum answer lengths are now given, to indicate the amount of detail, for which we are looking in response to each question.
It will be helpful if the Confirmandi could fill in their answers in a different font to the questions, so that what they have written can be easily identified at a glance.
As you go through the material, Candidates should fill in their answers on the worksheet. Once completed, this document should be saved and emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org by Monday 11th January. Please, again, include '[Confirmand's Name] Session Two Confirmation Worksheet' in the subject of the email.
Parents are then requested to email brief 'Parent's Feedback', to email@example.com. As you can see, I have made some changes in response to some helpful feedback from parents, so I would be very grateful if you could take a few moments to share any positive or negative comments on how the session went with your Confirmand, or indeed, any unresolved questions you may have encountered going through the material with your him or her. Any problems, please email or phone and speak to Fr. Peter on (020) 8672 2179.
